How Do You Forgive The Unforgivable?

Nick Stuart, veteran journalist and CEO of Odyssey Networks, explores the power of compassion with two extraordinary peacemakers.

In the first interview, Izzeldin Abuelaish, Gazan physician and 2009 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, recalls the terrible night he lost his three daughters and niece to a tank shell—his journey to forgiveness and his campaign to create personal dialogue among Israelis and Palestinians.

In the succeeding interview, Stuart talks with Tzvika Shahak, Israeli businessman and founding member of Parents Circle-Bereaved Families Forum. Shahak shares the story of the life and legacy of his daughter Bat-Chen, a precocious peace advocate who was killed in a suicide bombing on her 15th birthday.

Izzeldin Abuelaish, Tzvika Shahak and Immaculee Ilibagiza are amazing examples of how one can forgive despite tragedy. They are strong role models and can teach people to open their homes (hearts and minds) and world to something great, peace and love. Submitted By: Des
