My women friends accept me "warts" and all. They have loved me when I couldn't love myself and mostly they inspire me to be the best I can be! Even those dear women friends of my youth that have wandered off, have left a permanent impact on my life and who I am today. Only another woman truly understands a womanly perspective. I so related to Sue's thoughts on womens' friendships. I would love to see more of this since this touches me deeply. I have wonderful friends who are part of that meaningful web.......we each "listen" each other into that place of being and acceptance. Does Sue have a book on this subject? Thanks! To Cherie: I think the secret is to stop "seeking" and start "seeing." Yes, we are in process, life is process and God is subject not object. May you live your questions and let experience not objective answers feed your faith. Kathryn Armstrong says that prior to the 17th century the word "believe" meant "to love." I have often felt and said that as soon as I think I understand God, as soon as I think I have apprehended what it means to be a person of faith, something new happens and I realize I don't really have it. I sometimes feel like giving up and falling into a state of apathy but ever so often the Spirit sends me a message like today's video, and so I continue the chase. Thanks for today's video. The question I have been pondering is: "Am I in a role that I can play" When we are caregivers, often times its difficult to recruit family members to help or even be reliable in this task. Or we must be advocate, caregiver, mother, sister and all of those. It is hard not to feel resentment...I do have role models and sometimes I lean on them and absolutely they bring out the best in me because they have walked in my shoes.
