Dr. Albert Schweitzer is remembered around the world as one of the great humanitarians of
the twentieth century. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1953 for his medical work in healing the
sick and injured at his hospital in what is now Gabon, West Africa.

Albert Schweitzer: Called To Africa tells the story of the great man, through the eyes of
his wife, Helene. Includes interviews with the real-life Schweitzer daughter, Rhena, and
granddaughter, Christine Engles, Dr. Timothy Johnson of ABC News, Dr. Lachlan Forrow
of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Schweitzer biographer James Brabazon, theologian
Marvin Meyers and others.
