Carol, I loved your poem! Sue Monk Kidd, thank you for sharing your Liturgy of the Hours. It has inspired me to more closely examine my daily activities. Your examples invite me to grow in awareness and acknowledgment of spirit with more conscious intention. Submitted By: Peg

Each day that I am fortunate to see the sunrise, I count my Blessings by saying "Thank you God for giving me another chance to do better and to do more for my fellow man. Thank You, Thank you!" Submitted By: D. Lee Bolden

I so identified with Sue Monk Kidd’s message about Spirit’s presence in Matter. In the Christian tradition, Mary represents a receptive humanity. Her “yes” is the yes we all must utter to truly be alive. The word virgin means independent. The virgin birth is an inside job, a personal choice, and it’s mantra is willingness. Mary trusted life, not as an object to be observed, but as a living- breathing-reality to be creatively embraced. We are all called to be Mary, to birth and nurture a spirituality of wholeness. Matter matters. Meister Eckhart, 13th Century mystic, put it this way: “Being is God’s circle and in this circle all creatures exist.” May we all embody and embrace, love and respect matter! Last post was a poem but since it printed as a paragraph, punctuation was not sufficient...hope this second posting helps! TOMORROW WE WILL AWAKE ON A BLEAK NEW YEAR’S MORN, WITH HOPE THAT TRUE LOVE IN EACH HEART WILL BE BORN AND WILL SPREAD TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH FAR AWAY, SO THAT NO ONE NEED QUARREL ’BOUT HOW WE SHOULD PRAY. LET COMPASSION CREATE US, MOLD US EACH DAY, TO A FELLOWHIP OF NATIONS LIGHTING THE WAY. THE WAY HOME TO ONENESS, TO BATTLE NO MORE, THE WAY TO ACCEPTANCE THAT ENDS STRIFE AND WAR. THE WAY TO A PEACE, WHERE WE ALL HAVE A VOICE, WHERE EACH SOUL CAN WORSHIP AND ALL CAN REJOICE BE YOU ALLAH, OR YAHWEH, OR JESUS, THE CHRIST, GIVE US GRACE FOR THE JOURNEY THAT LEADS TO INSIGHT. TO A WORLD THAT WILL TREAT EVERYONE JUST THE SAME, SO THAT NO ONE KILLS OTHERS WHILE INVOKING YOUR NAME. FOR PEACE IS A SEED THAT FEAR TRIES TO KILL. A SEED ALL MUST PLANT DOWN DEEP IN THEIR WILL. IT SAYS I’LL CHOOSE LOVE EACH STEP OF T
