I don't remember the author of the article but I read it in Oprah's magazine a couple of years ago. This writer had coined a new word: "blessons" – a blend word created from blessings and lesson. It was her way of indicating that everything is gift even when it does not appear to be so. For me, it is a great reminder that we are all in process. No matter what is happening, it can be a “blesson.” If I pay attention, I will be blessed with greater awareness which is always a gift, a blessed opportunity for growth. Indeed, not only can we receive blessings, and offer gratitude, but we can bless each other with a smile, with a pat on the shoulder, with understanding tears, with the courage to be forthright. Thank you for this message, this website, Blessings, S Submitted By: Susan Heitzman

As a teacher, I can only shout "Bravo! Thank, you, Terry!" for his marvelous summary of what a teacher "makes." For those in the profession of teaching, there are rewards FAR more important than monetary ones. Submitted By: Zach Zuber

As a person who seems to have developed an allergy to tidiness, I found comfort in the message. My house was always messy when my children were young, and it's still messy now that they are grown. My older daughter, married with her own family, loves me and shows it. My younger one became an angry adolescent at 12 and remains angry for reasons that mystify me, but I occasionally am allowed a glimpse at her nice side, and the memories of her child self keep me sane when she ignores me. While I will not stop attempting to organize my messy house and my messy life, I thank you for finding a correlation between putting children/family first and prioritizing what needs attention first and most urgently. It is possible to be tender and true. if we try we can be glad all day. we can be merciful and mild, and as easily entreated as a child. To be gentle kind and sweet, and helpful with willing feet, helps allow one to be comforted when things go wrong. Sadness is erased with a beautiful song. Night or day God is not far from view. we must be loyal to trust him to know what is best for us. It is wonderful to see that He has kept his word. when you have been steadfast through the tests then you don't feel as if you have stolen his blessing. His love covers all.
