Thomas Keating is a terrific theologian and speaker! For more from him and the organization he founded, which promotes centering prayer around the world, go to www.contemplativeoutreach.org. Submitted By: Ray

It is a shame, such that an "important concept" as this is so poorly illustrated in this message, by what appears to be a very confused individual. It took several [re]views of the clip just to understand his language skills. I don't mean to be critical (maybe my coffee has yet to kick in), but this clip should have been given another take before it was considered for view (I have come across other Odyssey Network releases that simply have not been "proofed' for broadcast release, unfortunately). The interview of Austrailia's John Stewart on www.integralenlightenment.com would seem antithesis to this concept of mystery, yet there are those guided to guide us through...mystery... Some like those who came down out of the trees...who chart the way will also experience the mystery of death, but perhaps not before lighting a candle for those to come. Submitted By: Susan Heitzman

Feeling "stressed" has worn me out at times and has resulted in sleepless nights. I am thankful to Dr. Bernie for his message and as I take a deep breath and begin my hectic day, I shift my thinking from "oh no" to "oh yes". This is my birth day full of possibilities and the end result will be "it is what it is". Submitted By: Glenna

Oooh, I wish you had been interviewed for the PBS special that is coming out on forgiveness soon. I saw a preview in Louisville, and it is amazing. Maybe called a time to love and a time to hate... I didn't see the second half, so hope someone with this insight is in it. Your story of the woman's statement is powerful. Submitted By: Susan Heitzman

Forgiveness is something that we have to learn over and over again. My father died when I was fifty-six years old. I had a very difficult time with his death because my brothers and sister did not treat me as I thought they should. It is five years later now and I am only now able to see that we were all in need of love and compassion and that they were grieving as much as me. I have now been able to love them again. surprise is a present, something that pops open with a new twist... yes, often a little frightening - offering an experience perhaps not yet contemplated, a chance to react and to own that reaction, or to act and own that Submitted By: vjr

Dr. Herzog was my very first professor at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, NY. His fine example as a compassionate and wise educator and Christian leader remain and is demonstrated by alumni and faculty. He introduced me to biblical exegesis and respect for all texts, scriptural, holy and secular. Great to hear him in this context. Submitted By: Karen E. Beck

Thank you! I so needed that short simple yet profound message. My husband and I have been on that road a long while and we have become weary, and confused of late. I'm in danger of becoming apathetic to the point of throwing my hands up in the air and quitting. To go where, I don't know. Thank you for imparting Divine words to a tired, exhausted soul. Bless You! Submitted By: Pam Troxel
