Common Good Radio is an internet radio project, sharing hope with children through music, word, prayer and scripture.

We believe music invites people to participate in the transcendent. Children have been known to stop in their tracks, immersing themselves in the music they hear; they will tell you they love the beat, the pretty sounds, the words. We support this love!

We know that computer culture is a part of your world, which makes it a part of the world your children live in. We created Common Good Radio so you and the children would have:

  • A faithful companion when online
  • A joyful reminder of scripture, ideas and voices that speak to your faith journey
  • Support for your faith centered life

The Children’s Center for the Common Good

The Children’s Center for the Common Good seeks to bring music to the ears of children that will support faithful listening, singing, playing and giving. We support the goodness that music can relate and we seek to share it with you and your children.

We come to you out of our Christian tradition and hope that you will find the expansive messages of hope, love, community, peace, kindness, respect and forgiveness embedded in our service. Our ministry exists through volunteer efforts, including the blessings of the advisory board members, and donations. You are welcome to contribute to this ministry of love. We accept no donations from corporations or any advertising.

We are an extension ministry of the North Central New York Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, supported by several grants over four years from ministry teams within the conference. Support also comes from Grand Island Trinity UMC, Grand Island, NY, Western NY Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. We began our digital ministry to invite children to arts as expression of faith, in 2004, and have evolved to devote ourselves to this Internet radio ministry.
