Dr. Jeremy Benstein is the deputy director of The Heschel Center for Sustainability in Tel Aviv, and directs their Fellowship program. His interests focus on the interplay of religion, culture and values with the environment, topics he explored in his book The Way Into Judaism and the Environment (Jewish Lights Publishing, 2006). He writes and teaches widely on leadership, Judaism, Israel and social-environmental issues. He holds a master's in rabbinic literature and a doctorate in anthropology on environment and shared citizenship between Jews and Arabs in Israel. He is recently remarried and lives with his spouse Dr. Annabel Herzog and their five children in Zichron Yaakov.
