Brought together by their editor at KidSpirit Magazine, two high schools seniors, Vidushi and Susanna, share their experiences as participants in the 2012 Hours Against Hate campaign. Launched by the State Department, the campaign asks "young people around the world to pledge their time to stop hate- to do something for someone who doesn't look like you, pray like you, or live like you." Communicating via Skype sessions has broadened the two teenagers views of one another and dispelled previously held misconceptions about one another's religion. "Aside from our religion, aside from our family background, there's certain things that I find a connection to within people like Susanna. And 2012 Hours Against Hate just shows me how powerful and how genuine those connections could be, even though we've never met in person," said Vidushi.
