Liberian Lutheran Peace Activist Leymah Gbowee discusses her feelings on receiving the Nobel Peace Prize and the role faith played in her struggle to help end the war in Liberia.
I agree - many times a famous individual gets the Nobel Peace Prize when it should be someone that works at the "ground level". The Occupy Wall Street movement can learn a lot from this woman.
It is great to see such a deserving person getting the Peace Prize. When they named Obama a few years ago for doing nothing related to peace, I lost all respect for them. Now it's restored. Leymah is an example of the power of an individual to bring positive change. She had a goal and she worked toward it. Instead of protesting she actually took action and worked. The Occupy movement should hire her as a consultant to bring some focus to their randomness.
