World Interfaith Harmony Week runs from February 1st to the 7th each year. Every few months, Shaykh Ameen Abdul Awal and members of the Islamic Educational Support Foundation take to the streets in an organized outing called Midnight Run, to distribute food, clothing and toiletries to the homeless population. Following the principles of his Islamic faith, Shaykh Ameen says, "when we go and feed the people, we do it as if we owe them, they don't owe us."
Thank you for showing what true Muslims are like! Promoting peace and giving to those who need it most are such important ideals in Islam, and it is wonderful to see someone that is not twisted by the media.

This message promotes one of the many key ideals of Islam, promoting peace and giving back to those who need it most. I hope we can all learn to open our minds and hearts to the religion of Islam and understand its true values!
Why is this such a big deal? Christian groups do this all the time and have for years.
It's great to see Muslims in a positive way. I am sure these kinds of good things go on all the time, all over the country but the media prefers to show Muslims as terrorists because that is what sells. I hope a lot of people watch this and learn from it and get a better attitude.
