Mormons, the Presidency and Joe Lieberman

Mitt Romney, who is expected to accept the Republican party's nomination for the presidential race, joins a handful of Mormons — including Mormon founder Joseph Smith and Sen. Orrin Hatch — who have also run for the nation's top elected office. Though Romney has not discussed his faith thus far in this election cycle, he may fare better going forward if he opens up about his Mormonism, asserts Professor Randall Balmer, professor of American Religious History at Barnard College and Columbia University.

If Romney if completely forthcoming about his LDS faith I think it might not be a hurdle for him but I doubt he will be transparent in that faith.
He doesn't have to adhere to my faith beliefs and doesn't, for that manner, but to me a Christian is one who believes in the divinity of Jesus Christ--Jesus is God as well as are the Father and Holy Spirit. LDS do not believe this and cover it by saying that "Jesus is the Son of God." ( A Perfect Human-- but not God.) To me Christ's divinity is crucial to being Christian.

So then according to Mitt Romney it should not matter about your faith so that would mean Muslim as well huh?
