Qur'an Burning: How Media Inflames Extremism

By staging his "International 'Judge the Koran' Day" in a kind of courtroom setting in his church, Florida's Terry Jones created the visual impression for many around the world that the "trial" occurred in a U.S. court under the auspices of the U.S. government, says Imam Muhammad Musri, president of the Islamic Society of Central Florida. Extremists are "hijacking" Christian and Muslim voices, he says, while the voices of the "peaceful people in the middle" are being ignored by the media.
