As immigration heats up in Washington, the Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, president of The National Hispanic Christian Leaders Conference, knows firsthand how it will impact the faith community. After attending President Obama's recent speech on immigration reform in Las Vegas, Rodriguez applauded the compassion and conviction Obama brings to the issue. He noted how attitudes have changed in recent years. "It's a new day. In 2013 the recent polls indicate…the majority support comprehensive immigration reform," he said. "It has been inspiring to see the Christian community coalesce around immigration reform."
