Political scientist Dr. Byron Shafer discusses the possible political implications facing the Republican ticket as they approach Election Day. "When you think about it this becomes the first ticket in American history not to have a Protestant on it," says Shafer. Looking at the dominant theme of job growth playing on the minds of voters this election, Shafer suggests that religion may not play as great a role this time around as social issues are trumped by the economy.
